About TOOLTRIBE
TOOLTRIBE first launched in 2018 as a rental marketplace for tools. Post-launch, we continued to receive customer inquiries about a better solution to manage their existing tool inventory. Despite all the tool inventory and asset management solutions available, contractors remained unsatisfied and field adoption was minimal. We have since worked closely with our customers to develop a solution that would work for their business, and that is the app available to you today.

David Lee
Co-Founder / CEO
David’s first job in the industry was working concrete construction during summer vacation from The Citadel, a military college in South Carolina. After graduating, he began a 20-year career with DEWALT Tools (part of what is now Stanley Black and Decker).
Recognizing opportunities to use technology to save contractors time and money, he founded TOOLTRIBE to provide contractors a powerful tool management platform that all employees can use.

Kav Latiolais
Co-Founder / CTO
Kav grew up helping his Dad on their family farm in rural Oregon. When he wasn’t working with power tools on the farm, he was building things on his computer. He launched his career working at Microsoft then moved to the start-up world where he has been a founder and CTO.
He is passionate about building technology products that work for people who haven’t spent their life behind a desk working on a computer.
